$1,000 worth of items stolen from garage

Various items including tools, a grill and 20 pounds of ground beef were reported stolen Wednesday afternoon.

The man who lives in the 800 block of West Linden Street said an unknown person entered his garage between March 31 and April 12 and took a total of $1,388.95 worth of items, according to police.

Items reportedly taken included: a tiller ($200 value), 2 Husky hard cases with misc. hand tools ($200 each), electric DeWalt drill ($250), Knipco heater ($300), charcoal grill ($80), 20 pounds of ground beef ($50), four roasts ($50), two bacon ($8.95) and five bags of chicken breasts ($50).

The garage was reportedly unlocked, there was no forced entry and no suspects at this time.
