Free Bike Rodeo is Saturday at YMCA [UPDATED]Published 10:05am Thursday, April 25, 2013 Updated 12:08pm Thursday, April 25, 2013
Families are invited to attend a free bike rodeo that will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at the YMCA.
The event is free and open to kids of all ages. Children and their parents will have fun learning bike safety skills at a variety of active rodeo stations.
As participants complete the bike rodeo course, they’ll be eligible to enter a drawing to win a new bike given away at the end of the Bike Rodeo.
Four bikes provided by Central Lakes Cycle will be awarded along with many bike helmets.
No pre-registration is required, but participants need to bring their bike and helmet.
If a child does not have a helmet, one will be provided. The bike drawing will be held the day of the rodeo, and kids do not need to be present to win.
Special thanks to everyone who has helped to make the Bike Rodeo possible, including Pemberton, Lake Region Healthcare, Fergus Falls Jaycees, Central Lakes Cycle, JB Electric, 4H/University of Minnesota Extension, Fergus Falls YMCA, Lakes Radio, West Central Initiative, Ringdahl, Fergus Falls Community Education, and the Daily Journal.
