BL council OKs arts proposal [UPDATED]

BATTLE LAKE – The Battle Lakes Arts Advisory Committee presented a Lake Region Arts Council Legacy Grant proposal for amenities related to the Hwy. 78 project that was passed by the city council on April 9, according to the Battle Lake Review.

The request includes funding up to $10,000 for three benches, two planters and four bike racks that will be enhanced with artistic features.

Planned mosaics on the benches and planters will be a community project with any resident wishing to participate allowed to lend a hand.
