Following the recommendation of Athetic Director Gary Schuler, the School Board approved the hiring of long time assistant Steve Olson for the head football coach position, taking over for former head football coach Richard Risbrudt.

Olson is a 1989 graduate of Fergus Falls High School and has served as an assistant football coach for the past 18 years. Schuler pointed out Monday that Olson will take over a program that has fallen to 72 participants in 2012 from 86 in 2010.
