The “Lakes Area All-Stars” will be one of the featured bands performing Saturday evening at the Bigwood Events Center for “Dancin’ The Night Away,” an event sponsored by the M-State Jazz Band.

The adult group is made up of many area band directors and Fergus Falls community musicians and is directed by Jim Iverson.

Some of the music they perform is from Elmer Fick’s “Happy Ramblers,” which was a group that performed at the Fergus Falls State Hospital for 35 years. Dinner is at 6:30 p.m. with music provided, and the dance music begins at 7 p.m.

Dinner and dance tickets are $20 and must be purchased from the M-State Box Office (736-1600). Dance only tickets are $7 and they are available in advance or at the door. Come out for a fun evening of dance, or just sit back and enjoy the music.
