Lake Alice 100 mile bike ride a success

Published 10:40am Wednesday, April 24, 2013

The Lake Alice 100 mile bike ride tallied 70 riders, who rode over 2,100 laps around the centrally located lake.

“We had 10 riders who completed the 100 mile challenge of 87 laps,” Branch Manager of Affinity Plus Credit Union Nick Mariotti said. “But perhaps most notable were two little kids, Ethan Ness, age 10, and his cousin, Madison Hubert, age 12, who each completed 44 laps. Which is more than fifty miles each.

Riders rode from 9 a.m. through most of the afternoon as they looked to complete the 87 lap event.

On Monday, Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union gave M State – Student Life Director Dave Jensen a $1,470.50 check to the Fergus Falls Area College Foundation in support of the Dream Big Scholarship.
