Leland is serving his second term as Fergus Falls mayor, after previously serving for six years on the city council.

MMA represents 573 mayors from across Minnesota and provides members with educational support, a forum for networking, and a structure to promote legislative advocacy in support of state policies and programs of interest to cities.

The 2014 MMA annual conference is scheduled again next April in Fergus Falls.
