Kyle Sorkness, a 2009 Fergus Falls High School graduate, will give the welcome address to his fellow classmates at the undergraduate commencement May 10 for Concordia University, St. Paul at the Gangelhoff Center.
Sorkness is graduating summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in theology and a Bible languages minor.
He was active in most of the theology and ministry clubs at Concordia and considers Dr. Mark Schuler’s Israeli archaeological dig in July 2011 one of the high points of his university experience, according to a report from readMedia.com.
He was also involved with student government, where he served as a senator, vice president and president.
He hopes to enter Christian ministry full-time following his formal education.
