Bulldogs take two from Sebeka

BATTLE LAKE — Head Coach Eric Olson and the Otter Tail Central softball team proved they can win in two fashions — grind it out and blow the opposing team out of the water — as they swept the Sebeka Trojans Monday.

The Bulldogs were able to best the Trojans in game one as Emily Marso was able to win the pitching duel to give OTC a 2-1 victory.

Marso was dealing fire from the mound as she allowed only four hits and one earned. The pitcher also proved that she could get it done from the plate as she belted a game-winning RBI triple in the sixth inning.

The Bulldogs got picking in game two, but patience paid off as OTC cruised to a 19-1 win.

Sebeka struggled to find the strike zone allowing the Bulldog hitters several free passes in the game.

Casey Haugdahl had a great game from the plate going 3 for 5 with all hits being doubles, while Rosie Johnson went 2 for 2 with four walks.

The Bulldogs (5-2) will look to continue their five-game winning streak as they welcome Pillager to town for a 4 p.m. doubleheader.
