Jail time given for drug charge [UPDATED]

William Terrance Casey, 48, of Fargo, was sentenced to 365 days in jail Monday, April 29, in Otter Tail County District Court for felony fourth-degree drug possession. He pleaded guilty March 8.

According to the criminal complaint, Casey’s car was at a rural Fergus Falls residence Nov. 18, 2012 where there was a report of suspicious activity. Law enforcement found the vehicle later at a gas station.

Casey reportedly had a glass methamphetamine pipe in his open pants pocket.

He was arrested and a pat down revealed a large amount of cash from his pocket, the report says.

A bag of 0.7 grams of meth was found under the driver’s seat of the vehicle, according to the report.

Casey’s criminal history includes a conviction for a fourth-degree controlled substance crime Feb. 12, 2009 in Wilkin County.
