The Fergus Falls baseball team was able to overcome a 21-4 first game loss to claim a split against the St. Cloud Tech Tigers Thursday.

The Tigers were able to take advantage of six errors and eight free passes on the way to a game one victory.

Fergus struggled from the mound using five different pitchers in the five inning contest.

The Otters were able to rebound in game two as they rallied from three runs down to top Tech 8-4.

“It’s good to see the boys comeback after getting beatup in the first game,” Otter coach Mark Aho said. “It shows a lot of character.

Reece Johnson got the win as he went the distance for the home team. Teammate Drew Reinertson led the Fergus hitters going three for four with two runs scored.

The Otters will be back in action Friday as they host the Sartell-St. Stephen in another CLC showdown at 6 p.m.
