Knights’ bats finish off Panthers 9-4

BARRETT — The West Central Area baseball team picked up a win Friday as it topped Parkers Prairie 9-4.

The Knights jumped out to a 9-1 lead after four innings, but saw the Panthers attempt to rally late in the game. West Central was able to plugged the leak as it claimed the five-run win.

Andrew Lindor got the win for the Knights going six and a third innings, recording seven Ks.

Carter Duncan was perfect from the plate going three for three with three runs scored, while teammate Alex Anderson finished three for four, scoring three times and knocking three runs.

The Knights will host Prairie Conference foe Upsala/Swanville in a doublheader Tuesday beginning at 3:30 p.m.
