Potato barn hit by lightning, catches fire [UPDATED]

A witness saw a large storage barn in Wadena get struck by lightning over the weekend, according to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office.

The barn at 62084 State Hwy. 29 caught on fire after the lightning strike, which was reported at 2:30 a.m. Saturday. The building is commonly used to store equipment or potatoes. The total property loss was unknown.
