Two suspects were arrested in connection to an armed robbery that happened at Northside Tesoro at about 2:05 a.m. May 17, according to a news release from the Wahpeton Police Department.
The suspects reportedly entered Northside Tesoro in Wahpeton while brandishing handguns and forced the female store clerk to open the cash registers, which they then emptied of cash before fleeing from the store.
Leo E. Okeke, 19, of Chicago, and Theotis Johnson Jr., 20, of Fridley, Minn., were arrested at about 10 a.m. May 17 after being located in a north side Wahpeton apartment. They were charged with robbery, a Class B felony.
