PELICAN RAPIDS — Ashby’s Abbie Ras delivered her best pitching performance, fanning six batters on the way to a three-hit shutout over Pelican Rapids 5-0 Thursday.

“The girls really focused on making quality hits and play flawless defense,” Arrow coach Kandace Norby said. “We were able to capitalize on the great pitching of Abbie.”

Madison VanSanten led the Arrow hitters going two for four with two RBI, two runs and three stolen bases. Teammate Meg Roley also recorded two hits and knocked in a pair in the win.

The Arrows will be back in action Friday as they travel to Chokio for a doubleheader against Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley at 4 p.m. The Vikings look to recover Friday as they host Park Rapids at 4:30 p.m.
