Battle Lakes’ Bleichner finalist for spirit award [UPDATED]

Brock Bleichner of Battle Lake, a senior at Battle Lake High School, will be presented with an engraved bronze medallion to recognize his selection as a Distinguished Finalist for 2013 in The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program.

Presentation will be held at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 20 at the Battle Lake School, 402 Summit Street West, Battle Lake

Brock is being honored for being an active and trained volunteer first responder for the Battle Lake Rescue Squad, for which he had to attend 40 hours of specialized training and pass a test. For more information on Brock and his volunteering.
