Carol was born Oct. 28, 1931, in Austin to Norman and Loretta (Miller) Kjome. She married Jacob Brady on June 30, 1951 at Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Austin.

Carol was employed at St. Mark’s Lutheran Home in the kitchen and also Austin Public Schools as a title one aide.

Survivors include six sons, Michael (Pam), Rochester, Patrick (Cheryl), Fairbanks, Alaska, Tim (Michelle), Austin, Dan (Cindy), Austin, Terry (Shelli), Stewartville, Brian (Beth), Rochester; two daughters, Linda (Ed) Smith, Ottertail, Peggy (Curt) Klingfus, Austin; 20 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a sister, Karen (Al) Liffengren, Door County, Wis.; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jake; grandson, Tyler Brady; parents, Norman and Loretta Kjome; and a brother, Norman Kjome.

Mom’s greatest love and joy were her husband, children and grandchildren.

Memorials are preferred to Lewy Body Dementia Research at Mayo Clinic, Department of Development, 200 1st Street SW, Rochester, MN 55905.

Visitation: Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m., with a CCW rosary at 4 p.m., followed by a wake service at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church

Memorial Service:11 a.m. Thursday, at St. Augustine Catholic Church
