Individuals interested in careers as certified nursing assistants (CNAs) have an opportunity for summer training at Minnesota State Community and Technical College in Fergus Falls.

The class is offered from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Mondays from June 3-July 22. In addition to classroom work, students will be required to complete 20 hours of clinical training.

Interested students must complete the online Visiting Student Application at www.minnesota.edu/forms and also register for the course online at www.minnesota.edu/cna. Click on the link for credit-based course information under the Nursing Assistant heading, and then on Fergus Falls Summer 2013 to register for HLTH 1115.

A background check is required for the course, and students who complete the course and are hired as CNAs are eligible for reimbursement for the cost of the course. Starting pay for CNAs is typically $10 to $12 per hour or more, depending on the facility.

For more information, contact M State at 877-450-3322.
