Fergus girls golf competes at Willmar

WILLMAR — Fergus Falls’ Nikki Ellingson finished in fifth, shooting her best round of the year, at a Central Lakes Conference meet Thursday.

“Nikki played the way we have been expecting her to play this year,” Otters coach Jon Harris said. “She really managed the course well today and kept the ball in play for the most part.”

Ellingson was four shots off medalist Jenny Muesing of Brainerd and runner-up Marja Sorenson of Rocori.

The Otters finished sixth at the meet out of nine teams with a team score of 393.
