Frances Caroline Donoho was born on April 1, 1919, in Fairbury, Ill. Her parents were the late Clarence and Caroline (Drexler) Donoho. Clarence passed away and the family made their home in Clements.
Frances attended country school at District 123 in rural Henning. She was employed at the Lincoln Café in Fergus Falls, Engh’s Bakery in Wadena and Vick’s Café in Springfield, before moving to the west coast.
Frances married Cecil Merton Little in 1944, in Seattle, Wash. Their marriage was blessed with two sons: Cecil Leon and Jerry Douglas.
They made their home in Bellingham, Wash., where Frances was employed at a grocery store and a cook at the local school for 17 years.
In 1986, Frances and Cecil made their home in Henning.
Cecil passed away on Sept. 20, 1995. Frances was an active member of St. Edward’s Catholic Church Christian Mothers.
She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Preceding Frances in death were her parents; husband, Cecil; a son, Cecil, Jr.; and a brother, Clarence Donaho
Frances is survived by her son, Jerry Little of Henning; sisters, Bessie Plonsky of Kirkland, Wash., and Leona Christenson of Henning; four grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and other relatives; and a host of friends.
Service: 10:30 a.m. today, at St. Edward’s Catholic Church, Henning
