LB Homes served its volunteers

Students from Hillcrest Lutheran Academy and 115 guests attended the LB Homes Volunteer Appreciation Dinner held on Tuesday, May 21. Volunteers and their guests were entertained by dinner music provided by Louise Schultz and songs by Val and Talmadge Hobbs.

A dinner, with candlelight was served featuring turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, salad, steamed vegetables and strawberry topped cheesecake for dessert.

The guest speaker was Amy Dallman from the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Mahube-Otwa.

Jeanna Hoffman, hospice RN presented details on the “We Honor Veterans” program being introduced for Veterans who use Lakeland Hospice.

Each volunteer was presented a terra cotta flower kit from LB Homes.

The Hillcrest class of nearly two dozen students visited with residents, did light housekeeping and other service projects to be of assistance to others. These five are pictured while attending the volunteer appreciation dinner held last Tuesday.
