Race track opens, Shriners in town this weekend

Rev up your engines. Friday evening is the season opener for the I-94 Speedway races. The speedway is fun for the whole family as racers from all over come to show off their driving skills on the WISSOTA sanctioned 3/8 mile high banked dirt track.



• Syttende Mai Dinner, 4:30 to 7 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls

• Rib dinner, 6 to 7 p.m. at the American Legion, along with musical entertainment, Zuhrah Pipes and drum, and the Zuhrah Drum Corp. 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. at the American Legion

• Walking Tour: Stories from the State Hospital, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the RTC

• End of school family zumba party, 6 to 8 p.m. at the Fergus Falls YMCA

• I-94 Speedway grand opening for the season, 7 p.m. at the I-94 Speedway



• Shriners ceremonial, 9 a.m. at the Bigwood Event Center; Shriners parade, 2 p.m. from the Community Arena to the VFW Post 612 on Washington Avenue; 3 p.m. picnic, at Veterans Memorial Park

• Caring Partners Garage Sale, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the WestRidge Mall

• Auditions for Children’s Theater, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at ACFTA

• EDGE Dance presents” Masquerade Magic”, 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. at M State – Fergus Falls

• BMX Races, 12 to 2 p.m. at the BMX track in Fergus Falls

• Auditions for summer musical, 11:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at ACFTA�
