Snow removal causes damage [UPDATED]

Published 9:47am Wednesday, May 1, 2013 Updated 11:52am Wednesday, May 1, 2013

As I sit here watching the snow melt on this beautiful day, I recall, just over amonth ago, with a large snow fall, the snowplow from Aurdahl Township plows down my mail box.

After a couple of calls, neither of which was returned, I want to thank them for their concern.

I also want to thank my neighbor who did a temporary fix to the post for me.

Thank you township officials.

Did you shovel out your mailbox so the plow could see it? I grew up in the country and have lived most of my adult life in the country. We have always shoveled out our mail box before the snow plows were out, sometimes more than once, so the driver could see it. Yes, it meant going back out to clean up the rest of the area after the plow went through, but we never lost a mailbox and the snow plow drivers always appreciated our doing so.
