TV worker attempts to enter home

A man claiming he was from DISH Network tried to enter a woman’s home and sell her DISH services, according to Fergus Falls police.

A man with brown hair and brown eyes came to the woman’s door in the 500 block of East Vasa Avenue at about 11:30 a.m. Friday and said he wanted to give her an update on DISH Network services. He asked to come inside and look at equipment but the woman refused. The man also wore a DISH Network hat that looked fake, the woman said in the report.

He got into the passenger side of a white Camaro and took off, the report says. The woman contacted DISH Network, which told her to contact police.

This is the third incident within the past week in Fergus Falls of someone going door to door claiming to sell satellite services.
