WCA tramples Eagle Valley 18-4

BARRETT — The West Central Area softball team pounded out the hits against Prairie Conference rival Eagle Valley on the way to a 18-4 victory.

Ashton Blair, Lynette Engler, Melissa Vikesland, Amber Oberg, Lauryn McLaughlin and Doranna Blascyk each connected for two hits in the game.

The Eagle Valley catcher got familar with Oberg crossing the plate as she scored four runs, while teammates McLaughlin and Kruize also scored three apiece.

The Knights hope their bats do not cool off as they welcome in Browerville Tuesday for a 3:45 p.m. conference doubleheader.
