Roundabouts save lives [UPDATED]Published 4:18am Monday, June 3, 2013 Updated 6:21am Monday, June 3, 2013
I have been advocating for roundabouts in the Fergus area for years. Finally we got one and after a period of adjustment — I’ve followed cars who stop after entering — it is apparently being accepted.
The benefits are major. The primary being up to a 90 percent decrease in fatal accidents.
I would only ask, why wasn’t a roundabout constructed on the north end of the new bridge at West Lincoln, at Pebble Lake Road and 210 as well as numerous other awkward and dangerous intersections around Fergus?
