Margaret Esther Mikkelson, 98, of Fergus Falls

Margaret Mikkelson, died Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Broen Home.

She was born Oct. 18, 1914, in St. Paul, the daughter of Olava (Thompson) Olson and attended school through the eighth grade. She married Leo Umhauer; and later Edward Mikkelson.

She was employed at PioneerCare for a period of time.

Margaret loved all kinds of birds, and had a large ornamental bird collection.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Olava Thompson Olson; her husbands; and a son, Clarence Umhauer.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Audrey Umhauer.

Graveside services are planned at 2 p.m. Monday, at Knollwood Memorial Gardens.
