2 power outages affect 1,500

More than 1,500 residents in the east-central part of Fergus Falls experienced power outages Sunday morning, according to Otter Tail Power.

The first outage from 5:50 to 6:49 a.m. affected 584 customers in the area of Lake Alice to the Hoot Lake Plant. The outage was reportedly caused by an equipment failure.

A total of 944 customers, including Kennedy Secondary School, were without power from 11:36 a.m. to 12:28 p.m. due to an underground failure.
