Dr. Barnard makes stop in Fergus as part of book tour

Neal Barnard, M.D. will present at PioneerCare Center in Fergus Falls Aug. 22 Thursday, Aug. 22 as part of his book tour.

PioneerCare recognizes the importance of diet to good health and well being and encourages the community to become involved.

Dr. Neal Barnard will be presenting his research on health and disease to help inform the community of the importance of good personal dietary choices.

The Fargo native, now nationally known for his clinical research, has revolutionized the treatment for type 2 diabetes with a low-fat vegan diet and is now tackling Alzheimer’s disease with the same approach.

He is an author of dozens of books, including the New York Times bestsellers, “Power Foods for the Brain,” and “21 Day Weight Loss Kickstart;” and the USA Today bestseller, “Dr. Neal Barnard’s Program for Reversing Diabetes.”

He is also a regular on the Dr. Oz Show and has appeared on Today, ABC’s Good Morning America, CBS This Morning, and the Ellen DeGeneres Show,among others.

 

Two sessions will be offered at PioneerCare; the 2:00 pm session will

include a lecture for a ticket purchase of $5 – and the 5:30 pm session

includes lecture, dinner, and book signing for a ticket purchase of $25.
