A 28-year-old rural Pelican Rapids man was injured in a single-vehicle accident early Saturday morning in rural Elizabeth, according to a news release from the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office.

The driver’s car traveled westbound on County Hwy. 10 when it drifted off the road and struck an approach, sending his car airborne.

The car then hit a second approach after landing and came to a halt.

The driver, the vehicle’s only occupant, was taken to Lake Region Hospital for multiple injuries.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the incident and the driver was not wearing his seatbelt, according to the news release.
