General Store burglar charged [UPDATED]

Nathan Allen Welch, 31, of Dalton, was charged June 25 in Otter Tail County District Court with felony third-degree burglary.

According to the criminal complaint, Welch stole a $30 package of scratch-off state lottery tickets, 15 cans of chewing tobacco, numerous bottles of energy drinks and $28 in change June 20 from JC’s General Store in Dalton.

The locks to the store were reportedly intact. Welch allegedly told authorities the door was unlocked.

Welch’s next court appearance is scheduled for July 8.
