Knudson, Fergus 18U take two from Detroit Lakes

DETROIT LAKES — Sadie Knudson was able to record a pair of wins Tuesday as the Fergus Falls 18U softball team swept a doubleheader versus Detroit Lakes.

Fergus claimed a 3-0 win behind Knudson’s two-hitter.

Knudson fanned seven and also knocked in a run in the game. Teammate Rachel Johnson went one for three with an RBI.

In game two, Fergus was able to overcome a slow start to claim a 9-6 victory.

Sammie Knudson got the start but struggled to put the ball over the plate. Sister Sadie stepped back on the mound and help close the door on Detroit Lakes.

Amber Boese a top-caliber game going three for four knocking in four runs, scoring two and hitting a home run.
