Sex offender living in Richland County

The Richland County Sheriff’s Office has notified residents of a high-risk sex offender living within Richland County, according to a news release.

Matthew Jasmann registered as a sex offender with the Richland County Sheriff’s Office and is living at 201 Third Ave. E. in Abercrombie, N.D.

His registered employment is at ABU Trailer in Dwight, N.D. He was required to register due to an address change from Jamestown, N.D. to this new address and new employment.

Jasmann was convicted in Stutsman County for gross sexual imposition involving a 10-year-old girl when he was 12 years old.

A second conviction in Stutsman County was for gross sexual imposition involving numerous girls ages 13 to 17.

A public meeting regarding this high-risk sex offender is set for 7 p.m. June 26 at the Abercrombie Community Center.
