Dent hit-and-run driver arrested [UPDATED]

A 35-year-old Dent man was arrested Sunday after a hit-and-run crash which injured another man, according to a news release from the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office.

The two-vehicle crash occurred on County Hwy. 35 at 360th Street just south of Dent at about 5:15 p.m. Sunday. A 77-year-old Dent man was in the one of the vehicles and was taken to Perham Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. His condition was unknown at the time of the report.

Deputies located the driver who left the scene, Christopher McIlvain, at his residence. He was arrested based on charges of criminal vehicular operation, DWI and failing to stop at an accident, according to the news release.
