Joshua John Schroeder, 31, of Dalton, pleaded guilty and was sentenced July 1 in Otter Tail County District Court for one count of gross misdemeanor DWI. He was sentenced to 365 days in jail, with 335 days to be stayed for six years.
According to the criminal complaint, Schroeder drove a pickup and hit a parked car just before 3 a.m. June 17 on South Central Avenue in Dalton.
A nearly empty 1.75-liter bottle of vodka was found open Schroeder’s vehicle, along with an unopened can of beer. A preliminary breath test showed his blood alcohol level to be 0.314.
Schroeder had a previous DWI conviction Oct. 5, 2004.
