Street work long overdue [UPDATED]Published 9:32am Friday, July 5, 2013 Updated 11:45am Friday, July 5, 2013
With the city’s approval of $2.67 million in assessments of several city streets, we say amen.
City residents have long endured some rough roads in various parts of the city, some of which are main routes to get almost anywhere in town.
We can only imagine what visitors must think as they traverse through the city.
Residents who may complain about the cost should note that costs to make the necessary improvements will continue to increase as petroleum costs continue to rise.
Plus, as the city makes some of these street improvements, it is also replacing out-dated utility lines.
We say get’er done to the street projects.
