Adam Clifford Rudolph Sundby, 25, of Underwood, who burglarized 12 residences near Otter Tail Lake and stole more than $1,000 worth of items, was sentenced July 8 in Otter Tail County District Court. He was sentenced to 28 months in prison for one count of felony second-degree burglary and 29 months in prison for a second count of felony second-degree burglary, to be served concurrently. Ten other counts were dimissed. He pleaded guilty April 25.
Adam James Devorak, 26, of Fergus Falls, also pleaded guilty to two felony counts of second-degree burglary April 15 in connection with the case. He was sentenced June 17 to 10 years of supervised probation and 60 days in jail, to be served concurrently.
According to the criminal complaint, Sundby and Devorak burglarized five seasonal residences on State Hwy. 78 along Otter Tail Lake, two residences on Okeson Lane and five properties at Wee Villa Resort, located on Long Lake 10 miles north of Fergus Falls, in February and March. Some of the properties reportedly had damage from the burglaries, including damage to sheetrock, insulation and broken windows.
