After he hopped out of the pool, Fergus Falls Flyers’ Tyler Pyle not only won the 200 meter breaststroke, but qualified for the state championship at the Class A/B state meet in Richfield Saturday.
Pyle’s time of 2:34.78 was a personal best, along with the winning time.
“I like to give a special congratulations to Tyler Pyle for qualifying by place to state championships next weekend,” Flyers’ coach Tom Uvaas.
The Flyers also saw three swimmers take second place including Steven Wohlenhaus (3:01.78, 200 backstroke), Justin Mortenson (:26.17, 50 freestyle) and Mike Mortenson (1:00.68, 100 fly).
“I am very pleased with the performances by this group of eight, who again represented Fergus Falls swimming in a positive way. Those who placed top three and received a medal; we are most happy pleased with their races,” Uvaas added.
