College Foundation awards scholarships [UPDATED]

Fergus Area College Foundation is pleased to announce that five area students have been awarded Presidential and Deans Scholarships for the 2013-14 academic year on the Fergus Falls campus of Minnesota State Community and Technical College.

Presidential Scholarships were awarded to Josh Johnson of Dalton (Fergus Falls High School) and Danielle Pratt of Clarissa (Eagle Valley High School). They will receive $5,000 annually for both their freshman and sophomore years at M State.

Winners of Deans Scholarships are Mary Sanders of Fergus Falls (Fergus Falls High School), Julie Christenson of Fergus Falls (Hillcrest Lutheran Academy) and William Juul of Evansville (Evansville High School). They will receive $2,500 awards for their freshman and sophomore years at the college.

“We are pleased to welcome these accomplished freshmen to the Fergus Falls campus this fall,” said M State President Peggy Kennedy.

“We look forward to the contributions they will make to the campus through their academic endeavors and involvement in extracurricular activities.”

Fergus Area College Foundation awards more than $125,000 in scholarships annually to students on M State’s Fergus Falls campus. Scholarships are funded through the generous donations of alumni, local businesses and individuals.
