A Fergus Falls man who stole a 1999 Ford F150 truck from CarMart Net in April was sentenced to jail time.

Jeffery Allen Wilson, 27, was sentenced July 11 in Otter Tail County District Court to 30 days in jail for felony theft. He pleaded guilty July 14.

According to the criminal complaint, Wilson tried to buy a vehicle from CarMart April 12. At some point that day, video surveillance showed he took the keys to the truck from the office, and at about 8:30 p.m. video showed someone driving the vehicle from the lot.

Police went to Wilson’s residence in the 500 block of West Cavour Avenue, which is near CarMart, and recovered the vehicle around 12:30 p.m. the next day, about a half hour after the police report was made.
