OTC takes second at Moorhead Babe Ruth tourney

MOORHEAD — The Otter Tail Central Babe Ruth team took runner-up honors at the Moorhead tournament over the weekend.

The OTC team recorded an 8-8 tie against Moorhead Orange, a 1-0 win over Grand Forks and a 12-2 win over Fargo to setup a meeting with the Moorhead Black team in the championship game.

Moorhead Black was able to dispatch OTC 12-2 in the championship game.

Justin Masloski, battling through injury, was saddled with the loss going four innings.

Dylan Kalenze (2-3, R) and Zach Rilla led the OTC hitters going two for three with an RBI and a run scored, while teammate Dylan Kalenze went two for three with a run scored.

OTC will be back at home Tuesday as it hosts Wheaton.
