VFW music not the only noise problem

In response to the letter to the editor dated June 19: Really? I live in the same neighborhood as you. There are young children playing in the street and their parents are screaming at them, at any time of the day.

There are at least six dogs incessantly barking; especially the one at 801 N Cleveland Ave.

People driving by at crazy speeds with loud exhaust or stereos playing so loud, it sounds like our house windows are going to explode.

Then on Friday nights, we have the race track and also there are the high school events with a loud speaker, and the only thing you can complain about is the street dance that the VFW has twice a year?

Come on, let’s have a reality check here.

I guess the people of Fergus Falls are very fortunate to have such a hyper-sensitive individual to complain about every little thing that occurs in LIFE! Too bad we can’t chain up our kids, remove our pets vocal cords, ban teenagers from listening to music and close the racetrack to appease you. If you don’t like it here, there’s always another option… See ya!

I wonder if the complainer would have done so it wasn’t coming from the VFW and instead from some church Gospel choir with the same noise level.

I think this is more about the source of the music and the kind of music than the noise level she’s complaining about.
