A 35-year-old Richville man was arrested for DWI and criminal vehicular operation after his pickup truck crossed the centerline and hit another vehicle Thursday afternoon, according to a news release from the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office.
The driver was headed westbound on Fort Thunder Road near Harvest Avenue in Perham at 4 p.m. when he lost control and hit another pickup truck.
The vehicles went into the south ditch and came to a stop in a field. The front end of the westbound truck landed on the center of the eastbound truck.
A 25-year-old Dent man was extricated from his vehicle, taken to Perham Health and then airlifted to Fargo Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
His 17-year-old passenger was admitted to Perham Health.
The 35-year-old driver was taken to Perham Health for minor injuries, released and then arrested. Alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash.
Perham Police Department and Perham Fire Department assisted at the scene.
