The quartet, which began in January of 2010, all live and work in the Fergus Fall area.
They have joined their skills and love of making music to form Red Jazz. The members of the four piece combo, are Bob Perrier (music teacher and band director) on trumpet, flugel horn; John Hatling (attorney) on drums, Eric Boe (public defender) on bass, and on piano, Aimee Nordland (teacher andpiano instructor).
The group plays a variety of styles and familiar tunes that include light jazz, classic standards, bossa nova, bop, swing and more.
Aimee Nordland, the combo’s pianist, will also sing a few crowd pleasers such as “Summertime” and “Killing Me Softly.” Red Jazz creates a relaxed atmosphere of easy listening with an emphasis on fun, while playing recognizable songs.
There is no admission charge for the “Come to the Lakes” concert series. Your free will donations help support the presence and programs of LACC.
