Two hurt in cycle crashesPublished 11:32am Monday, August 12, 2013
A 25-year-old Frazee man was injured when his motorcycle left the road and hit a rock driveway embankment Sunday evening, according to a news release from the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office.
Just before 9 p.m., the cyclist was headed eastbound on East Wymer Lake Road in rural Frazee when he hit the embankment. He was thrown off the motorcycle. He was taken to Perham Hospital and later airlifted to a Fargo Hospital for nonlife threatening injuries.
Frazee Fire and Rescue, Frazee Police Department, Becker County Sheriff’s Office, Perham Ambulance and Perham Fire responded to the scene.
Another motorcyclist was injured in a different crash Sunday afternoon in Underwood, according to a news release from the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office. A 53-year-old Breckenridge woman had multiple non-life threatening injuries after she tried to avoid a deer on County Hwy. 22 two miles west of County Hwy. 35 just before 3 p.m.
She lost control, was thrown from her motorcycle and landed in a ditch. Ringdahl Ambulance took her to Lake Region Healthcare. Underwood Fire also assisted at the scene.
