Zany comedy planned in BarrettPublished 11:34am Thursday, August 15, 2013
Prairie Wind Players Community Theatre is happy to present “A Little Murder Never Hurt Anybody“ by Ron Bernas.
This zany comedy will be performed Aug. 22nd through the 25 at Roosevelt Hall in Barrett.
The curtain opens on New Year’s Eve at the Perry mansion.
Julia and Matthew seem to have it all, but Matthew wants something more — to be rid of his wife Julia so he can have some real fun. He resolves to murder Julia and tells her so.
She vows to stay alive and tells him so.
And so the games begin — a hilarious match of wits and the witless.
While Julia cleverly dodges Matthew’s devious murder attempts, the Perry friends and staff are dying off mysteriously.
Dim-witted daughter Bunny contemplates calling off her wedding to unwitting Donald because there won’t be any gifts.
Enter Detective Plotnik who suspects that Julia is the murderer.
Their plan to trap her comically backfires when Matthew confess to the murderous deeds although he really didn’t kill anyone. But if he didn’t do it, “who done it”?
