Construction begins in SW Perham on Monday [UPDATED]Published 9:33am Friday, August 23, 2013 Updated 11:35am Friday, August 23, 2013
Work will begin next week on road and infrastructure improvements on the southwest side of Perham, which means some roads will be closed in town, according to the Perham Focus.
Construction crews will begin by removing pavement, curb and trees in the affected neighborhood. Removals will take about a week. After Labor Day, the underground improvements will start and should be completed in three weeks. The entire project, including aggregate, concrete, pavement and cleanup work, is expected to be finished in October.
The project’s cost is $875,500 and was finalized and passed by the city council in June.
The construction work will affect traffic along 3rd Avenue, with a road closing from St. Henry’s School to Calvary Lutheran Church.
