Excellence evident in the scores [UPDATED]Published 3:41am Monday, August 26, 2013 Updated 5:49am Monday, August 26, 2013
Congratulations to the Fergus Falls School District students for scoring an average of 23 on the ACT test.
While the district’s average score is on par with the state average, Minnesota has the highest-scoring average in the country.
Such scores should provide parents of district students comfort. Clearly, a public education in Fergus Falls meets the standard of excellence.
Considering a score of 21 qualifies for most colleges, and that an average score of 23 means many students are surpassing that, Fergus Falls students on average are well-prepared for college.
Considering the importance of post-secondary education in securing meaningful careers, teachers, administrators and parents should feel proud that Fergus Falls students are getting the preparation they need.
Keep up the good work.
