A 19-year-old driver was cited for unsafe passing on the right after hitting the back of a vehicle Wednesday, according to Fergus Falls police.

A vehicle southbound on Union Avenue was stopped and waiting to turn left onto Junius at 9:22 a.m. when another vehicle tried to go around on the right, misjudged the distance and hit the stopped vehicle.

A passenger in the car that was hit complained of minor chest pain but did not want an ambulance.
