Ashby Equity expands agronomy department

Published 12:05pm Friday, August 16, 2013

Work has been in progress over the last week on Ashby Equity’s new new Agronomy Department, according to the Ashby-Dalton Post.

The new location, at Highway 78 at the I-94 exchange, is four miles south of Ashby. DCG Peterson Bros. of Sioux Rapids, IA is contracting what will be a 5,000 ton capacity fertilizer plant. The company specializes in fertilizer plant constructions.

The process to begin construction on the office, chemical warehouse and shop is also under way. Ashby Equity will be able to control the dry fertilizer plant loading operations and scale from the facility.

Equipment from the existing plant will be moved in early December. The company’s goal is to be moved and operational by October of this year.
